Woman and dog injured in CR house fire

 A woman and a dog were injured in a Cedar Rapids house fire Friday morning.

Cedar Rapids fire crews were called to 3324 Ravenwood Terrace NW just before 6:30 a.m. Friday morning and found a woman who was conscious at the home. They say she was taken to a local hospital.

A dog who was also in the home has been taken to an animal hospital.

Authorities say there is damage on the first floor and in an upstairs bedroom.

Firefighters say there were no working smoke alarms in the home.

They are still investigating the cause of the fire.
