One man was killed in a single-vehicle crash just west of Marshalltown in rural Marshall County on Tuesday.
Chase Allen Clarke, 22, of Marshalltown, was the driver of the pickup truck involved and was killed in the accident.
The Iowa State Patrol responded to a report of an crash along U.S. Highway 30 eastbound at mile marker 179 just after 5pm, near the interchange with Iowa Highway 330.
Clarke's truck had entered the median for an unknown reason, then reentered the highway before going into the ditch on the south side of the road. The truck rolled and he was ejected from the cab.
State patrol officials are conducting an investigation into the accident.
