Park Cedar Rapids is offering people parking ticket forgiveness in exchange for donated items.
People who have parking tickets in downtown Cedar Rapids can help people in need during the Forget the Fine Citation Forgiveness Event.
From November 27 through December 21, Park Cedar Rapids will accept donations for area homeless shelters and family service centers in exchange for forgiveness of parking citations up to $100.
In order to have a citation dismissed, participants will need to donate new items similar in price to the citation issued.

People interested in getting rid of their fines can visit the Park Cedar Rapids office at 349 4th Avenue SE. The office is open Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
