Wanted Man Faces 22 Charges

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - A wanted man is facing 22 charges after a chase Sunday in Cedar Rapids.

Cedar Rapids police were informed 19-year-old Tyler Allen Feuss was in the area near Greene Square on Sunday.

Officers found Feuss, who was wanted for Revocation of Probation at around 11:56 a.m. when he was driving southbound on 6th Street from 5th Avenue.

Authorities tried to initiate a traffic stop at 7th Avenue and 6th Street SE, but Feuss refused to stop, leading officers on a chase.

Feuss made multiple traffic violations, running stop signs and reaching speeds of around 50 mph on 4th Avenue SE.

During the chase, Feuss also hit a parked car, lost control of the vehicle, and hit two poles before stopping in a parking lot on the corner of 4th Avenue and 3rd Street SE.

After the car stopped, Feuss tried to flee the scene but was apprehended by officers at 11:59 a.m.

Officers have confirmed Feuss has a felony warrant for his probation violation revocation.

Feuss was charged with Attempt to Elude, Reckless Driving, Striking Fixtures Adjacent to Roadway (2 counts), Striking an Unattended Vehicle, Speeding, Failure to Maintain Control, Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability, Failure to Maintain a Seatbelt, Driving on the Wrong Side of the Two-Lane Roadway, Disobeying a Traffic Control Device (10 counts), and the warrant.

He is currently being held in the Linn County Jail.
