The University of Iowa men’s tennis team will look to extend its five-game match win streak on Friday when the Hawkeyes host Cornell at 5 p.m. Iowa will also host a doubleheader on Sunday beginning at 11 a.m., first competing against Oregon followed by Omaha at 5 p.m. Admission is free to the public.

WEEKEND RECAP:
• The Hawkeyes enter this weekend on a five-match win streak, extending their streak last Saturday with a victory over No. 14 Dartmouth (4-3).
• Iowa’s win was its highest ranked win in program history.
CORNELL PREVIEW:
• The Big Red enters Friday’s match 3-5 overall, losing two of the last three matches.
• Cornell returns seven letter winners from last year.
• The Hawkeyes are 3-2 all-time against the Big Red. Iowa won at Cornell, 4-2, in its last meeting on Jan. 31, 2016.
OREGON PREVIEW:
• The Ducks enter this week’s action 8-2 overall. Oregon will face Utah State on Wednesday and Cornell on Saturday before facing the Hawkeyes on Sunday.
• Oregon boasts the No. 13 ranked singles player in the country, Thomas Laurent.
• In doubles, the Ducks have the No. 16 ranked doubles team of Laurent and Clissold.
• Iowa lost, 5-2, at Oregon a year ago.
OMAHA PREVIEW:
• The Mavericks are 5-8 overall, losing their last match to No. 10 Oklahoma State, 7-0.
• Omaha is only 15-19 in doubles action this season, which is a strength of the Hawkeyes.
• The Hawkeyes beat Omaha, 6-1, a year ago in Iowa City.
STARTING MATCHES STRONG:
Iowa has earned the doubles point in nine of its 11 matches, starting matches against Marquette, Western Michigan, Arkansas, Miami, Arizona, IUPUI, Creighton, Denver, and Dartmouth leading 1-0. The Hawkeyes lost the doubles point to No. 4 Georgia by a narrow margin, dropping courts one and two in tiebreakers.
Jonas Larsen and Kareem Allaf are 9-2 playing on court one in doubles so far this season, with one of their defeats coming in a tiebreak (7-3) to Georgia’s eighth-ranked doubles squad in the country.
