As Iowa health officials are predicting a more severe flu season this year AND the University of Iowa researchers are working on a more effective vaccine for future years, the annual question arises - will you be getting a shot?
As you know I never tell you what to do. These things are always a matter for you. Personally I have never had one and the reason is that I watched my dad get one and then get flu for the first time in his life. I am told that's not possible, but that is what I saw.
At the same time I also remember one of my daughter's friends' dad. Perfectly healthy man. Had a dose of flu and went to bed one New Years' Eve and never woke up.
So will you be getting a flu shot?
