The House Judiciary Committee voted yesterday along party lines to hold the Attorney General William Barr in contempt of Congress (Civil, not criminal). They did this because the AG has not complied with subpoenas and the Administration has exerted Privilege.
"We've talked for a long time about approaching a constitutional crisis. We are now in it," Nadler told the press on Wednesday.
The reality is and Nadler knows it, there are things that it would be illegal to send to the committee - a point made by the White House Deputy Principal Press Secretary, Hogan Gidley on my show yesterday. You can hear that (below).
So why is Nadler doing this?
For America? For partisan politics?
