Iowa's Heartbeat law was struck down by an activist judge yesterday. Judge Michael Huppert ruled in favor of Planned Parenthood of the Heartland and the Emma Goldman Clinic, stating that the law violates Article I, sections 6 and 9, of the Iowa Constitution. So apparently that says it's OK to kill babies. The case was dismissed without trial.
I guess those of us who respect life expected this. The sooner this reaches the Supreme Court of the United States, the better.
This all took place on the same day that the New York Senate voted to allow abortion all the way up to birth. What a country!
