State health officials says the number of flu-related deaths so far this season is 126, 29-more than a week ago.   All of the deaths are among adults.

Officials say the flu is still considered widespread and activity is high.   Sixty-three schools have reported absentee rates of 10-percent or more.

Public health officials say it is not too late to receive a flu shot.  They also remind Iowans who are ill, they should see a health care provider as soon as possible in case anti-viral medications can be prescribed.
