(Iowa) -- The race for Iowa's First District seat will be a familiar one. Incumbent Republican Mariannette Miller-Meeks face will face former Democratic State Representative and University of Iowa law professor Christina Bohannan for a third time. Miller-Meeks beat Bohannan in 2022, and again by just a few hundred votes in 2024. The 1st District includes Eastern and Southeast Iowa.

In the 2nd District, which includes Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, and Dubuque, State Representative Lindsey James won the Democratic nomination, while Joe Mitchell secured the Republican nomination. The two will compete for the seat being vacated by U.S. Representative Ashley Hinson, who get the GOP's nomination for U.S. Senate.

Both candidates in the 3rd District--which covers Central and Western Iowa--won their races unopposed. Democrat Sarah Trone-Garriott will face incumbent Republican Representative Zach Nunn.

In the 4th District Democratic State Representative Dave Dawson beat Stephanie Steiner and Ashley WolfTornabane to face Republican Chris McGowan in November.
