Worker Propelled From Desk When Driver Crashes Into Council Bluffs Store

(Council Bluffs, IA) -- An employee of Camping World in Council Bluffs is recovering from injuries after a pick-up truck slammed thru the exterior war this (Monday) morning. Police were called to 2082 S. 21st Street at 11:13 a.m.

Crews found a 2023 F-150 Supercrew half way into the building. Investigators say a worker has been sitting at a desk in the building and was hit and propelled forward. Police say the worker was taken by private vehicle to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the driver of the truck was not harmed.

Damage included a 12' x 12' hole in the side of the building as well as damage to nonstructural support metal students. Glass partitions in the building were also damaged.
