Cedar Rapids School District Names New Superintendent

(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- The Cedar Rapids Community School District has a new superintendent. Tawana Grover will start July 1st. She most recently led Grand Island Public Schools in Nebraska. Dr. Grover replaces Superintendent Noreen Bush, who died in October after a battle with cancer. Grover received her Ph.D. in Special Education, Educational Specialist in Elementary Education and Education Leadership, as well as both master's and bachelor's degrees in education.

"Dr. Grover is a well-respected administrator with a tremendous amount of community leadership involvement. We are excited for her to assume this role and serve as Cedar Rapids School District Superintendent.”
