(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Chains Interrupted is hosting its Caroling and Cocoa Christmas Walk for the International Day for the Abolition of Slavery.

The event is at the NewBo City Market in Cedar Rapids on December 2 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. This year’s focus is on human trafficking as modern-day slavery.

Chains Interrupted is an eastern Iowa organization for the education and prevention of human trafficking.

At 4 pm people will meet in the NewBo City Market Courtyard near the stage to begin caroling.

Then at 4:50 p.m., there will be a moment of silence in the Newbo City Market Courtyard.

During 5 p.m. will have a warm-up inside the NewBo City Market with cocoa and cookies as we hear a word from the Co-Founder, Teresa Davidson
