Group to Stage Flash Drive to Iowa Governor's Mansion

DES MOINES, Iowa - An activist group is planning a flash drive to the Iowa governor's mansion in protest of the state's guidelines for schools during the pandemic.

The flash drive from Iowans for a Safer Return for Learning is set for Thursday at 6 pm, and coincides with a National Day of Action organized by the group Marked by Covid.

The Iowa group is asking participants in the drive to display personal messages on their cars for Governor Kim Reynolds.

Iowans for a Safer Return also plans to hold a press conference Thursday. The group of educators, labor leaders and community activists favors stricter standards for opening schools during the pandemic.

The group also plans a flash drive in Sioux City Saturday.
