Nebraska Governor Apologizes For Comment Made To Black Community Leaders

Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts is apologizing for remarks made to a group of black community leaders.

Pastor Jarrod Parker with St. Mark Baptist Church said in a Facebook post that he walked out the meeting after Ricketts' comment.

"Pete Ricketts said, 'the problem I have with you people'. And ladies and gentlemen, I walked out of the police chief's office. I walked out on Governor Pete Ricketts."

Ricketts later released a statement noting that he chose his words poorly, and he apologized immediately when he realized the remark caused offense.
