Reynolds Closes More Businesses Due To COVID-19 Coronavirus Outbreak

More Iowa businesses are being forced to close due to the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak. On Thursday afternoon Governor Kim Reynolds expanded her State Public Health Emergency Declaration, forcing bars and restaurants to offer take-out and drive through service only through April 7th.

Reynolds also closed book, clothing, jewelry, and cosmetic stores, furniture shops, florists, and dentist offices.

Governor Kim Reynolds is also suspending elective surgeries as she tries to keep more Iowans home during the COVID-19 pandemic.

34 more Iowans tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday and the statewide total is now 179.
