Manhunt underway in northern Iowa after bank robbery, shooting

KOSSUTH COUNTY, Iowa- Authorities are looking for a bank robbery suspect involved in a shooting outside a bank in Lu Verne, Iowa this (Wednesday) morning.

The Iowa State Patrol, along with Kossuth County authorities are involved in the search. Schools nearby went on lock down as a precaution.

Mitch Mortvedt with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation confirms to WHO-TV Channel 13 that a bank in Lu Verne was robbed after 9 a.m. There's no word yet about injuries.

Authorities have not yet released a description of the suspect.
