Saudi oil fields attacked, Iowa gas prices to rise GAS PRICE MAP

DES MOINES, Iowa - The drone attack on Saudi Arabian oil fields cut oil production there in half and has crude oil prices already going up.

Gas prices have been falling over the summer, but Iowa drivers should get ready to pay more for gas, now.

"We could see a price hike sometime very soon of as much as a nickel to 25-cents per gallon, depending on the severity of damage to the Saudi facilities." Says Trilby Lundberg, publisher of the Lundberg Survey, which tracks gas prices in the United States.

She says gas exports from the U.S. could be kept at home if there is a gas shortage.

The national average price this morning is $2.56. The Iowa average for a gallon of gas is $2.38 according to AAA.
