DES MOINES, Iowa- Two men and one woman are in the Mahaska County Jail, charged in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found in the South Skunk River earlier this month.

The body of 24-year-old Ashley Schafer was pulled from the water August 6th.

Investigators say 27-year-old Cody Vancenbrock is accused of injecting Schafer with methamphetamine, which caused her to overdose, and die. Authorities say in order to conceal Schafer's death, Vancenbrock and 28-year-old Nicholas Kelly, are accused of weighting down her body, and dumping it into South Skunk River.

Vancenbrock is charged with Involuntary Manslaughter, drug charges, and Abuse of a Corpse. Nicholas Kelly is also facing drug charges and Abuse of a Corpse, and 34-year-old Holly Kelly is charged with Aiding and Abetting the Abuse of a Corpse.
