Iowa DOT reminding drivers to obey flood barricades

U.S. Highway 34

MILLS COUNTY, Iowa- The Iowa DOT is sharing pictures of their work re-building flood damaged roads in southwest Iowa, and a photo showing what happened when a driver went around barricades on U.S. Highway 34.

Crews are removing some of the pavement on I-29 to make repairs to the sub-base.

It's hoped that weather permitting, the interstate in southwest Iowa will reopen in June.
