$1,000 Reward for info on missing teen

A $1,000 reward is now available for anyone with information on the location of a missing Marshalltown teenager.

Corey Brown, 13, left his home Tuesday night during a snow storm and never returned. His parents said he had just had fight with them. Surveillance video showed him walking in Marshalltown's Jackie Terrace neighborhood about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Our coverage partners at KCRG-TV9 report the Iowa DCI, the Marshalltown police, and other agencies have been looking for Brown for the last three days. They've printed fliers with his picture and searched his social media. Authorities say they aren't ruling out anything.

"We are considering the possibility that someone picked him up [or if] he asked someone to pick him up. We have no reason to believe he left town, but we haven't discounted that either," Marshalltown Police Chief Michael Tupper said.

Corey Brown is an eighth grader at Miller Middle School in Marshalltown. And the principal there says he's a kind and smart kid who lights up the room he's in. He says everyone at the school wants to help find him.
