During a chilly and windy week in eastern Iowa, a group of people with special needs from Camp Courageous ditched the cold to have some fun in the sun in Orlando at Disney World.
During that time, they got to go on rides, meet Disney characters, and play games. This trip was made possible by the Courageous Travels program.
It's a branch of Camp Courageous that's been around for a little over it year. It focuses on taking people with disabilities on vacations. They have more than 40 trips planned this year. Camp counselors will travel with the individuals on the trip.
Some travelers pay for their own trips while others rely on donations.
