The group Iowa Women Lead Change is expanding to become more of a regional organization.
Wednesday it announced it's dropping 'Iowa' from its title to become 'Women Lead Change'. The nonprofit group started in 2007 as the Iowa Women's Leadership Conference.
It became 'Iowa Women Lead Change' five years ago. Organization leaders say re-branding will let them help women in leadership positions across the country.
"This has been a very organic shift that has happened basically because the work has dictated it. The need has really dictated that we expand beyond our borders," said Tiffany O'Donnell.
Women lead change still holds annual conferences. Last year, those were in the corridor, central Iowa, Dubuque, the Quad Cities and in Sioux City.
