Field of Dreams CEO, Perservationalist Dies

The FIeld of Dreams says their CEO and Chief Preservationist Denise Miarecki Stillman has died from cancer.

The movie site's Facebook page says her battle with hepatic endothelial hemangioendothelioma cancer ended on Wednesday.

Stillman bought the Field of Dreams Movie Site from the Lansing family in 2011 and since founded the Go The Distance Baseball company.

"Denise never wavered in her commitment to the goals of Go the Distance Baseball, and made necessary progression plans including the appointing of Tom Mietzel, as CEO and Justin Dillashaw as Chief Financial Officer to join the executive team," Roman Weinberg, the operations manager for Go The Distance Baseball, LLC said on the post.

Weinberg says Go the Distance Baseball, LLC have identified new ways to operate their current businesses and obtain the capital necessary to break ground on the baseball/softball tournament complex All-Star Ballpark Heaven.

Weinberg said the movie site will remain open and continue to create memories for those who visit.
