CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Our weather is in the same situation as we've been stuck in - periods of showers and thunderstorms. That'll be the case overnight with mild lows in the 60s.
Highs are in the 70s again Tuesday with periods of showers and storms. The chance should increase as the day goes on. Local downpours are possible. Tuesday night, a swath of storms will sweep across the state, bringing a potential for strong winds but also another round of locally heavy rain. Flash flooding will be possible from any of these storms. This activity will start wrapping up by midday Wednesday as temperatures begin to fall.
North winds send much cooler air in as highs fall into the 40s to finish off the week. Showers are possible Friday and Saturday. Even though our weather pattern is going to turn less active after Wednesday, many rivers will still be flooding because it'll take time for all the water to make it through.
