CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - A trial for a Marion man in regards to an incident that led to the death of a woman has been pushed back after a Case Management Conference on Thursday.
According to a criminal complaint, 27-year-old Cody Brown was arguing with 24-year-old Stephanie Bowling on June 28 when he picked her up and threw her to the ground.
Bowling passed away from her injuries during the domestic disturbance.
The trial originally scheduled to begin on November 13 has been pushed back to January 14, 2019.
The decision to move back the trial was made after a request by Brown to extend the pretrial motion deadline until December 14 was granted.
Brown faces a Domestic Assault with Serious Injuries charge.
