Motorcyclist killed in I-80 crash in eastern Iowa

UPDATE:   The Iowa State Patrol has released the names of those involved in a deadly crash on I-80 near West Branch Wednesday.   The motorcyclist killed has been identified as 63-year-old John Harvey. Seventy-two-year-old motorcyclist, Raymond Mitchell Jr, of Pennsylvania was injured.  Truck driver, 61-year old Bobby Stephen, of Janesville, Wisconsin was also injured.

JOHNSON COUNTY, Iowa-  One person was killed, two others hurt in an I-80 crash Wednesday near West Branch, near the Johnson-Cedar County line.   The Iowa State Patrol says two motorcyclists were eastbound around 5:40 p.m., and both slowed because of a previous crash.   

The Iowa State Patrol says an eastbound semi was unable to slow down, and rear-ended the motorcycles. All three vehicles went into the south ditch.   One motorcyclist was killed.  A second motorcyclist was injured, as well as the truck driver- they were both taken by ambulance to University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.
