CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) - Here’s a sign that we are getting closer to summer -- farmers markets are starting back up.

The Farmers Market in Noelridge Park opened Wednesday at 4 p.m.
That park is in northeast Cedar Rapids along Council Street near Collins Road.
People can find everything from flowers to fruits and vegetables.
One vendor said the late cold snap kept some other vendors away.
But she said the recent warm weather really helped her produce.
"We were lucky enough when this heat came on, it stayed warmer towards the night and brought more and warmed the tomatoes up and ripened the tomatoes up. And we had them ready for first market," said Kathy Kirkwood Salow, owner of Kirkwood Sun Country Produce and Salow Sweet and Savory.
"There's been years we haven't had them ready for first market."
The Noelridge Market is smaller than the downtown farmers market, but it's open more days of the week.
It'll be open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
