On Wednesday, the players took pictures with fans and collected money for Canadian junior hockey team called "The Humboldt Broncos."
That team was their way to a game on Friday when a semi hit the bus. Fifteen people died and several others are recovering from serious injuries.
RoughRiders players say they felt the need to help, in part, because the Bronocs players are similar in age to them.
"I mean we spend a lot of time on a bus and that's really where you make these friendships and brotherhood with your teammates so it just hits close to home," Liam Walsh said.
Ten percent of all sales from the Culver's locations in Cedar Rapids, Hiawatha and Marion went to the Humboldt Broncos from 4 to 8 on Wednesday night.
