Volunteers Needed for LaPort City Search

LA PORTE CITY, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- The search for a missing La Porte City teenager heads into its third day this morning.

Jake Wilson is 16-years-old and has autism. He was last seen Saturday night.

Hundreds of people have been searching for him in and around La Porte City over the past two days.

Authorities say they haven't found anything yet linking them to Wilson.

But as another day begins, they are asking for help from more volunteers, especially people with all-terrain vehicles like ATVs.

Authorities say the all-terrain vehicles will help them search through the farms and fields in the area.

Anyone interested in volunteering should come to the La Porte City Fire Station at 8 a.m.

Authorities say while there is no sign of anything criminal to his disappearance, the Iowa DCI, and FBI, as well as other agencies, have all been called in to help with the search.

Anyone with questions or information about Jake Wilson should call (319) 342-2232 or non-emergency dispatch at (319) 291-2515.
