Marion PD Warn of Car Thefts

MARION, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- Marion police are warning about people stealing from unlocked cars in the city.

Marion Police are warning residents of multiple thefts from unlocked cars within this area in the eastern part of the city.

Police said the thefts have happened in the eastern part of Marion, within an area bounded by Mercury Avenue and York Avenue on the north, Jackson Drive on the east, Hennessey Parkway on the south, and 44th Street on the west.

They said they have identified suspects, but have not made any arrests yet.

The department is reminding people to lock up their vehicles and not leave valuable items inside.
