Doug Wagner is the host of the "WMT Morning Show" on 600 WMT, and can be heard from 5:00 am to 9:00 am weekday mornings. Additionally, you can hear him on severe weather coverage and filling in all around the station. He and his wife, Heather, have two sons; Josh and Brad.
Andy Petersen is an award-winning host and journalist who has filled about every role imaginable (except sales - he says if he had to sell for a living he would starve) here at our radio stations. Andy grew up listening to AM 600 WMT, as he was born and raised on a farm in Wyoming, Iowa. He graduated from Midland High School in 2001 after being heavily involved in Sports, Band, Chorus, Speech and FFA. Andy started at WMT that summer as an intern in the Farm Department in the summer of 2001. While working part-time here, he attended and graduated from Kirkwood Community College with a Media Degree, and the University of Iowa with a Communication Studies Degree. As a Junior at Iowa he started covering the Hawkeye football team and became a part of the Hawkeye Football broadcasts, co-hosting the Hawkeye Huddle. After college, Andy garnered a full-time position with WMT hosting the Evening Edition, then he moved to What's Happening before taking over the Morning Show from 2006-2011. Andy then moved to 96.5 Kiss Country to co-host the morning show with Katheryn Foxx before going back into the newsroom to anchor afternoon news and sports. During his free time, Andy is a highly respected high school and college basketball official. He enjoys spending time helping out on the farm, playing cards and sports, sitting on the patio in the summer and his basement bar/theatre room in the winter, and of course rooting for his Hawks!
