(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Individual residential use of UTVs and ATVs within city limits are being significantly limited under new guidelines released by the city of Cedar Rapids this week.

The new rules that take effect Sunday, allow business and government entities to use UTVs and ATVs for landscaping, snow removal, parades, surveying, and emergency or rescue operations.

Homeowners would be restricted to snow removal on their own property.

The new bylaw overrides a two year-old state law that permitted use within city limits.
