Market After Dark this weekend in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - More than 40,000 people are expected to pack downtown Cedar Rapids for the 5th annual Market After Dark event this Saturday.

The annual event features live music, unique art and entertainment areas and displays, and more than 100 vendors.

Some of those vendors are different from the ones that are at the normal Saturday Morning Farmers' Market.

Police said while the recent mass shootings in Texas and Ohio will not have an effect on security at the event, they will be adding extra patrols because the event has grown over the years.

The market begins at 6:30pm and ends at 11pm. Be sure to stop by the WMT broadcast tent in front of First PresbeteryanBe sure to stop by the WMT Live Broadcast in front of First Presbyterian Church on 5th Street across from Green Square
