A Keota resident is dead following a crash between a semi and a car in Louisa County.
The Iowa State Patrol said in a crash report it happened about 8:00 a.m. yesterday morning on County Road X-17 near 175th Street. That's about five miles northwest of Columbus Junction.
Troopers say 20-year-old Jasmine Gonzalez of Keota was driving a Toyota Corolla south on County Road X-17. Authorities said she crossed the center line into the path of a northbound semi.
The patrol says Gonzalez died at the scene. Her body was sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.
The driver of the semi was also injured, but troopers did not provide details or a condition.
