Waukon Man Charged after Chase

WAUKON, Iowa (KCRG) - One person has been arrested after a chase that began around 10:35 p.m. Wednesday.

Authorities say while they were conducting a multi-agency narcotics investigation, a Waukon police officer tried to perform a traffic stop on a car.

The driver of the car, 20-year-old Mason Lee Frick, from Waukon, didn't stop, but sped off.

Frick led authorities through Waukon, Luana, and into Postville, where the chase ended.

Frick has been charged with a Controlled Substance Violation, Eluding, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Driving While License Revoked. He will also be charged for traffic offenses.

Frick was taken to the Allamakee County Jail and is awaiting arraignment.
