New Season Ticket Holders Can Secure Seat Locations

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- University of Iowa football fans who have placed new season ticket orders for 2018 may select their seat locations in Kinnick Stadium beginning Friday, June 1.

On that day, Hawkeye fans who have placed new orders for season tickets may select their seat locations online at hawkeyesports.com/FightForIowa. Away game applications are also available online for season ticket holders and I-Club members.

Iowa’s home schedule includes five opponents who participated in 2017 postseason play. The Hawkeyes open with consecutive September home games against Northern Illinois, Iowa State (Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series game), Northern Iowa, and defending Big Ten West champion Wisconsin. Iowa closed the 2017 campaign with wins at Nebraska (56-14) and over Boston College (27-20) in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl.

Additional home games include Homecoming versus Maryland, Family Weekend versus Northwestern, and the Hy-Vee Heroes game against Nebraska the day after Thanksgiving. Wisconsin (13) and Northwestern (10) won at least 10 games last season, while Northern Illinois, Iowa State, and Northern Iowa won eight games and participated in postseason play.

Iowa football has posted back-to-back eight-win seasons and has a 28-12 record over the past three campaigns. Head coach Kirk Ferentz begins his 20th season in 2018. With Iowa’s first victory of 2018, Ferentz will become the winningest head coach in program history. Ferentz and Hayden Fry have each led Hawkeye football to 143 victories.

Iowa football fans may currently order tickets through the Fight For Iowa mobile ticket pass. The Fight For Iowa pass is 100 percent mobile and includes an electronic ticket to all seven home games for $250. Up to eight FFI passes can be purchased together, allowing fans to enjoy the game with family and friends.

The mobile pass season ticket incudes a unique seat location for each game, guaranteeing various viewpoints throughout the season. Seat locations are delivered electronically each week to the mobile device. Through the FFI pass, fans are guaranteed seat assignments on the east or west sideline for at least two of Iowa's seven home games.

Less than 100 of the 1,000 available FFI passes remain, so fans are encouraged to act quickly and visit hawkeyesports.com/FightForIowa and download the HawkeyeSports app on their iPhone or Android phone. The FFI Pass is not available for resale. All sales are final. The FFI pass does not include priority points, traditional paper tickets, parking, or postseason benefits.

The FFI mobile ticketing platform is a partnership with Experience, provider of mobile technology. Visit hawkeyesports.com/FightForIowa for answers to frequently asked questions, or email listen@expapp.com to receive a support response.
