Two Bond Votes Pass Last Night

Voters in two eastern Iowa towns overwhelmingly approved two bond issues Tuesday.

Guttenburg residents approved a $2.8 million bond issue to construct a town pool, 79 percent to 21 percent. The Clayton County Auditor said there was a roughly 26 percent voter turnout.

And Dike residents approved a $1.5 million bond issue to build a new fire station., 75 percent to 25 percent. According to the Grundy County Auditor, 27 percent of eligible voters cast a vote.
