Gun rights advocates are expected to be on hand today as the Judiciary Committee of the Iowa Senate looks at a constitutional carry bill. It would allow Iowans to carry firearms for legitimate purposes without a permit.
The bill has a long way to go. It needs to pass committee votes, then full votes in the Senate and House, and Iowa voters would give the final okay.
