Man Charged with Multiple UI Campus Assaults

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- A judge has sentenced an Iowa City man charged with sexually assaulting several students and employees on the University of Iowa campus to seven years in prison.

35-year-old Adam Weinstein in November entered Alford pleas to assault with intent to commit sexual abuse and assault with intent to commit bodily injury. That means Weinstein admitted prosecutors likely have enough evidence to convict him, but he is not admitting he committed the crimes

Police said Weinstein sexually assaulted, groped and harassed at least eight women on the UI campus over a 15-hour period on Nov. 10, 2015. Police said the incidents took place at the university hospital, near residence halls and the law school.
