JONES COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- The former Olin Fire Chief now faces several charges after police say he assaulted child with the intent to sexually abuse her. The Jones County Sheriff's Office arrested him last week.
Matthew Vonbehren faces five counts of lascivious acts with a child and two counts of assault with intent to commit sexual abuse.
Police say on a few occasions last year, he assaulted a 13 year old girl. He is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
