ISU Releases Name of Two President Candidates

AMES, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- The Board of Regents, State of Iowa, has announced the second finalist for the next president of Iowa State University.

Pamela Whitten, Ph.D., senior vice president for academic affairs and provost at the University of Georgia, Athens, will visit campus on October 10, to meet with faculty, staff, students and community members.

A public forum will be held from 4-5 p.m. on October 10 in the Durham Great Hall of the Memorial Union.

Iowa State University has announced the first finalist for president.

Dr. Sonny Ramaswamy will be on the Ames campus Monday. He is director of the National Institute of Food and Agriculture in Washington, D.C.

Monday, he'll meet with faculty, staff, students and community members. Three more candidates for president will be on campus this week.
