Pedestrian Killed in Waterloo

WATERLOO, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- Waterloo Police tell KCRG-TV9 a man has died after running out in front of an SUV and getting hit Tuesday afternoon. Police say the man was in his 20s.

According to the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier, the man was breathing when emergency responders arrived on scene at the intersection of Ansborough Avenue and Shaulis Road just before 4 p.m. Tuesday. Police did not know if the man was conscious. Police couldn't confirm to KCRG-TV9 if the man died on scene or at Covenant Medical Center.

Officials told the Courier it appeared the man did not see or hear a white Subaru Forester as it was southbound on Ansborough when he crossed Ansborough on Shaulis Road. The SUV hit the man at the intersection.
